...It’s up to you how much money you want to put into your home studio. You don't need thousands to build the room and then even more for the equipment!
YES sometimes you do get what you pay for.
But there are many things you can do to cut the cost down and still keep the quality, for example I made my own bass traps (the red things in the picture). They look really smart and work just as well as any that I could buy.
The best thing about them is they were really cheap to make and took me less than a day to make them all!
There are many more ways to save money on your home studio, but also some important things you don’t want to skimp on.
I will Guide you along so you know exactly what is best for your studio and what is not.
My name is Lee,
I've been in love with music ever since I started to play guitar at 16. In my early days all I wanted to do was be a “rock star” and I would still love that, but in the meantime I need to make money and be able to live.
That's how I found out about music production and how amazing it is!
At the moment I am studying audio for video games as I am very passionate about video games as well.
I built my own studio with my dad when I was 16. It was a room inside a room inside my garage and I still use it to this day. It’s where I do all my work, all my recordings, it's where I chill out and watch movies and If it had a fridge and a bathroom I would definitely live there.
It’s not anything amazing but it’s mine and it works great!
I love to help others, I care for the elderly four days a week and when I'm not doing that or working on music I'm working on this site. I am very passionate about everything I write on StudioCrack and I want to help others who are struggling to get started with getting a home studio setup and what components are needed to get a foot in the door and their hair wet.
Well that's enough about me.
Take a look around my site and I hope it helps you get the knowledge you need to conquer any complications you may have with audio recording or producing.
